What is PL Pairs?+
A season-long head-to-head game built around eight Premier League Club + Player pairings. Club performance and official FPL Gameweek points combine into your weekly total.
How do I join?+
Use the Join PL Pairs WhatsApp action. Nick will confirm whether there is room and, if appropriate, send the private registration form. The form is never public on this website.
How do I build my squad?+
Submit eight complete Club + Player pairs: two from each of the four club tiers. Each player must belong to the paired club when the squad is submitted.
Can two managers select the same player?+
Yes. Player and club usage limits apply separately to each manager, so your rival can absolutely copy your genius and claim it was their idea.
How many times can I use the same club?+
A club may be selected no more than three times across your entire season. Each appearance in an approved squad consumes one use.
Can I change my selections before the deadline?+
Need to change something? Contact Nick for your personalised correction link. Do not submit the public registration form again; corrections are handled against your existing manager record.
What happens if my player transfers clubs?+
The pairing was approved against the player’s club when you submitted it, so a later real-world transfer does not rewrite earlier squads. Any exceptional correction is a Game Lord decision.
When are the transfer windows?+
There are six: PRE for GW1–GW5, then TW1 from GW6, TW2 from GW11, TW3 from GW18, TW4 from GW24 and TW5 from GW31. The Game Lord confirms each opening and deadline.
How are Pair Scores calculated?+
Each Pair Score is 55% adjusted Club Score and 45% official FPL Gameweek points. Your eight Pair Scores are added to make the weekly manager total.
How do tier multipliers work?+
The full Club base score is multiplied for results against higher-tier opponents: 1.10× for one tier, 1.25× for two and 1.50× for three. Same or lower tier stays at 1.00×.
Can a weekly fixture end in a draw?+
Yes. Equal manager totals produce a draw and one league point each. There are no invented tie-breakers hiding behind the sofa.
When do results appear?+
After official football and FPL points are final and the Game Lord has checked the scores and locked the Gameweek. There is no guaranteed fixed time.
What happens if official scores are corrected?+
A Gameweek can be corrected until it is locked. Any later exceptional correction appears here only after the Game Lord approves the new result.
Who makes the final call if something goes wrong?+
The Game Lord. This website shows the results and decisions the Game Lord has confirmed.
